Westerncore style has been everywhere this year — from the Indio Polo Grounds at Stagecoach to the Dutton family ranch in “Yellowstone” to the runways at Chanel and Thom Brown. However, as fall fast approaches, it’s (almost) time to swap out prairie dresses for westernwear’s warmer best friend: denim.
As always, Wrangler has us set for all of our Westerncore needs. This week, the legacy jeans brand has teamed up with Los Angeles label Staud for a limited-edition denim collection, and it has something for everyone. The capsule, which dropped Wednesday, Sept. 6, includes standout pieces like this knee-length pencil skirt, jean bikini top, form-fitting bodysuit and lightwash vest, in addition to versatile staples like straight cut jeans, an oversized jean jacket and a western button-up.
“The overall style versatility and uniquely designed pieces within this collaboration represents the best of both brands and presents today’s fashion seekers with a powerful blend of classic looks and original fits,” says Holly Wheeler, vice president of global brand marketing for Wrangler. “We have co-authored a collection that is well-timed with how denim is currently showing up as a central element in fashion and
self-expression.”
The limited-edition capsule follows a string of well-received collections from Wrangler over the past few months, all of which have reimagined denim in elevated styles and silhouettes. In March, they launched a Yellowstone collection inspired by the hit Paramount show. Shortly after, they released a ’70s-inspired collection alongside famed Texan (and denim-lover) Leon Bridges.
The limited Wrangler + Staud collaboration is available for purchase online at staud.clothing and Wrangler.com, as well as in Staud stores. Prices range from $95-$350.
