A field of 59 golfers will descend on Plantation Course at Kapalua, Hawaii this Thursday, Jan. 4, kicking off the 2024 PGA Tour season.

While the field is still limited in size, the 2024 Sentry is no longer exclusive to previous champions, meaning a host of pros will join the 30 champions from previous years to compete for the impressive $20 million purse. This year, many of the best players (including 10 of the top 12 golfers in the world) are set to tee up on the par 73.

The PGA Tour will broadcast live on the Golf Channel and NBC, while ESPN+ and Peacock will offer live streaming coverage. Those without cable can also purchase a TV antenna in order to access the broadcast coverage, which is often the cheapest option for those not looking to pay for a monthly subscription service.

While the event is packed with top-level talent, four-time major champion Rory McIlory has chosen not to compete and former champion Jon Rahm has moved to LIV Golf. Their collective absence means all eyes will be on world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the three-time 2023 winner who just won the Hero World Challenge. He will be joined by FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland, in addition to Collin Morikawa, Max Homa, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele and Jordan Spieth all return to Hawaii and Swedish superstar Ludvig Åberg.
