Although it’s very well-known in France and throughout Europe, the vineyard and distillery Frapin Cognac is continuing to make a name for itself as a maker of premium cognacs and cocktails on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean in North America.

However, in July 2021, the family-owned-and-operated Frapin Cognac — which has been in business for more than 750 years — partnered with Minnesota Timberwolves star center Rudy Gobert as the company’s North American Ambassador.

Hailing from Saint-Quentin, France and a star player on the France men’s national basketball team, Gobert supports the French idea of “art de vivre,” or “the French art of living,” while continuing to spread brand awareness of Frapin Cognac to his teammates in the NBA — first as a member of the Utah Jazz and now with the Minnesota Timberwolves — and North America, as a whole.

As a result, Frapin Cognac created a new blend of cognac, that’s smooth with long finishing notes of dried orange, apricots and vanilla, in collaboration with all-star Rudy Gobert.

Meanwhile, the cognac is also compared to former-NBA Defensive Player of the Year award-winner Rudy Gobert’s style of play on the basketball court, which has a certain richness and finesse to its taste and smoothness.
