Taylor Swift‘s “Eras Tour” concert film is breaking records before it even hits theaters.
With more than a week until it hits the big screen, the movie has surpassed $100 million globally in advance ticket sales, according to its official distributor AMC Theatres. These revenues encompass all showtimes, locations, and circuits playing “Eras Tour,” not just AMC.
The concert film opens theatrically on Oct. 13 and will screen in 8,500 theaters across 100 countries.
Swift’s concert film, a rendering of her record-breaking stadium tour, is already proving to be one of the biggest movies of the year. When tickets first went on sale, it set a single-day ticket sale record for AMC with $26 million, besting the benchmark previously held by “Spider-Man: No Way Home” ($16.9 million).
